“The Protection of Personal Information Act, Act No. 4 of 2013 (POPIA) came into effect 01 July 2021. This Act aims to protect an individual’s personal information. In a world where access to information has become more prevalent, this includes a right to protection against the unlawful collection, retention, dissemination, and use of personal information.”
