Lashes became an awesome trend – and it doesn’t look like it is going to settle down any time soon. Are we complaining? No of course not! Perfect lashes are the final touch to perfect make up. I know sometimes it’s hard to even apply mascara not to mention the amount of effort it is going to take to get the perfect lashes! Do not stress – we are here to help you achieve your desired look.

Tip #1: Use a spoon

You know that feeling when you apply mascara and suddenly it smears off at the top or bottom of your lid – and getting this clean is just a nightmare! Trust me, you are not the only one who hates when that happens. Now you may ask where the spoon comes in. Well, when you start applying mascara, place the spoon under your lash – all the mascara that accidently gets in the wrong places will mess on the spoon.

Tip #2: Wait for it to dry

If you are not a fan of the spoon trick and you decide to do it without using this – no problem. Just take into consideration that the mascara can end up in the wrong places. Luckily, we have a trick for that as well. Wait for the mascara to completely dry. Take an earbud and gently remove the mascara – this will allow the mascara not to create a black smudge line underneath your eye!

Tip #3: Coat more than just the hairs

This is a trick that will help you get the fuller lashes look. Press the wand against the root of your eyelashes and blink as you wiggle the brush trough the hairs. The blinking actions helps your lashes to pick up more products which evolves in fuller looking lashes.

Tip #4: No more clumps

We all know the struggle of clumpy mascara and how hard it is to remove the clumps. The amount of layer your put on depends on the look you would like to pull off. For example: If you apply 1 layer you are going for a more natural look. With every layer make sure to switch up your formula to prevent the clumps! An alternative is that you can wipe it off on a towel to prevent clumps to build up.

Tip #5: Curl while applying

Curl your lashes while you apply mascara. Why, you ask? This will help to keep your curled lashes in place and make them look longer. And who doesn’t want extended lashes? By curling your lashes and applying mascara you also make sure that the lash is at its optimal length.

#6: Heat things up

What we mean by this is simply heat up your curler. You know when you want to straighten your hair you make use of a hot straightener and the same with a curling iron. Before you curl your lashes heat up your curler with a blow dryer. This will allow the curl to be perfect and last longer. Please make sure that it is not too hot as it can still burn your skin when it comes into contact.

Tip #7: Use compact powder

If long lashes are your thing then you know about the following struggle. If you are blessed with lashes that touch your lids then this hack is for you. When you apply mascara and your lashes CAN touch your eyelids it tends to smudge over the course of the day. To overcome this struggle – dust a little setting powder exactly where the tips of the lashes hit your skin before you apply mascara. This will absorb the oils and prevent smudging throughout the day.

Tip #8: Soak it in water

Take your mascara tube and place it a warm glass of water for about 10 minutes. This will make your mascara more fluid and it will go on easier. BONUS of this tip it can help to prevent clumps as well!
