Let’s face it even if we don’t bath, bath bombs will always be a “must get” when you go shopping! Personally, I don’t bath – and we needed to shower in 2 min so there was no time to play, but every time I go shopping for more bath essentials, I get a bath bomb. Yes, I know it is not economic thinking but I just leave them in a glass bowl in the bathroom and WOW does it make my bathroom smell nice! Here are some secret’s about bath bombs that may shock you!

Let’s start with what is a bath bomb. Bath bombs is a ball filled with essential oil to make your bathing experience a lot more fun! Bath bombs are designed to dissolve in warm water – but with a bit more of a mini explosion in your bath! Don’t worry, it’s actually AWESOME and the best part is you can choose which fragrance you want. Each bath bomb is unique : some can come with sparkle, some with flower petals and some just plain – but they all have a common goal : to help you relax and feel good.

This secret is something to keep in mind when you are not planning on using your bath bomb. Bath bombs do not expire BUT they do get less effective over time. According to Jack Constantine the fresher they are the faster they fizz. A bath bomb is an acid-base reaction of citric and bicarbonate soda that allows the fizzing motion to happen. Over time citric acid starts to lose it potency. The average shelf life for a bath bomb is about 6 months.

Luckily it is an easy task – you do not need any fancy product to clean with; just use a product containing surfactant.
