We all have been there and some of us still are. Acne scars are the worst – and getting rid of them is not an easy task. Here are some tips on how to get rid of acne scars.

1. Aloe Vera does wonders!

Scars heal when there is moisturizer applied to it with healing properties. Aloe Vera is rich in moisturizing properties, healing properties and soothing properties. Aloe Vera contains a unique compound known as Saponin that gives it its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties. This helps to reduce the redness and swelling of the skin. 2. Coconut oil

We all learned the term coconut oil fixes everything – and that is true, you can use it on your hair, skin and food! How awesome is that? Coconut oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids which helps to penetrate and moisturize the skin helping it to restore its glow. Let’s face it we all want glowing skin! There are many ways to use coconut oil. For example, dab some under your eye, lips and eyebrows in the morning – this will help your face look naturally fresh. Note: Just add the coconut oil where you want to treat your skin.

3. Onion extract

I must say when I first heard about this one it was a bit odd. Onion extract contains bioflavonoids, like capelin
and kaempferol – this has been known to reduce the appearance of acne scars in only a few weeks when applied daily. Not only does it help take acne scars away but also help fight off acne.

Please note: Onion extract may sting for a short while.

4. Baking soda

Baking soda is excellent for balancing your Ph levels in your skin. Baking soda also has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties and can help manage acne break out and pain. It acts as a natural exfoliator as well. This helps to eliminate dead skin cells – leaving your skin fresh.

5. Tea Tree acne gel

This gel cannot necessary clear acne scars completely, but it can help you while you have acne. This product is only for people with problematic areas on their skin. Apply the gel directly on the pimple, this product has alcohol which helps to dry out the pimple.

Note: DO NOT apply on whole face, JUST the problem area. Tea Tree is an excellent choice for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It can soothe redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to prevent and reduce acne scars, leaving the skin smooth and clear.

6. Lemon

Lemon helps to lighten up a scar. It contains alpha hydroxy acids. Lemon helps to promote cell
growth and gives your skin it’s elasticity back. Your skin is in need of alpha hydroxy acids – which
we already discussed lemon has. Lemon tends to make your skin sensitive to sunlight make sure
