A beauty blender sponge has become very popular over the years. If you are unaware of what a beauty blender is let me help you: A beauty blender is a makeup sponge you use to apply your foundation, toner, primer etc. – you can also use it to blend your make up in. The first thing you would notice is that the shape of a beauty blender sponge is totally different from what you are used to. The best part of a beauty blender sponge is how easily it is to use!

Step #1: Wet your beauty blender sponge.

Why? A beauty blender optimizes water-retention. This is an easy step – simply hold your blender under running water and squeeze it until it becomes saturated with water. The water will cause the sponge to expand. When the beauty blender is wet it doesn’t absorb as much of your cosmetic products.

Step #2: Squeeze it

You want your beauty blender damp and not soaking wet with water. Squeeze it until most of the water is out. A beauty blender is pretty delicate so don’t wring it to get the water out. The best method to get the best results it to squeeze it out into a clean, dry paper towel.

Step #3: Apply makeup to your beauty blender

Just dab the sponge into the makeup. This method is used for any makeup product that you want to apply. Be careful not to pick up more makeup than needed- you can always apply more but you cannot put it back.

Step #4: Applying the make up to your face

The moment of truth! The key to applying your makeup to your skin is using a bouncing movement.

Step #5: The pointy edge

What do you do with the smaller areas?? Use the pointy edge. The pointy edge is there for you to help you apply you makeup to areas such as your nose, under your eyes and along the lips.

Step #6: Wash it

This is a very important step. You need to wash your blender afterwards otherwise bacteria is going to build up. This is important after every use. All it takes is some soap and water – make sure to use fragrance free soap.

Step #7: Dry it
